Frida Kahlo of Mexico City, painted Surrealist images, often of herself and her condition,: she suffered terrible pain after being in an accident at the age of 15, when all hopes of becoming a doctor were abandoned. From her bed, she produced a series of surrealist paintings tinged with sadness or just quirkiness.
